Dear Companists,

On 3 September, we went to Berlin to present homefort at the Berlin Startupnight. On Saturday, a total of 3,500 visitors attended the event and crowded around our stand. In fact, we felt as if we were never alone at our stand for more than 20 seconds.

In addition to the many visitors, the felix1 camera crew also visited our stand for an interview. We will provide you with this interview in one of our future updates because we have not received the video yet.

Finally, some Companists also visited our stand at Berlin Startupnight, and it was exciting for us to meet the people who are interested in start-ups and invest in companies like ours. Again, thanks very much for your confidence! It was a pleasure meeting every single one of you.

Security Is Important to Many

During the many conversations we had over the past few weeks, we noticed that we have to change our communication strategy. Indeed, we can no longer give people the impression that they can either become our clients or die tomorrow, but we have to emphasize the positive feeling of security. Therefore, we are currently revising our website based on this new approach and will present the revised version within the next two weeks.

The many conversations we had with clients and Companists have provided us not just with helpful approaches to communication, but also with positive feedback on our products and services. In fact, people were so interested in homefort that our brochures were out of stock even before the event ended.

Of course, some investors also attended the event on Saturday and visited our stand. Thanks to Companisto, they were well informed about homefort.

Interest in smart home, IoT, and our services is high, as we noticed. Moreover, we have already scheduled follow-up meetings with clients, investors, and business partners.

Partnership with vertragsengel

At Berlin Startupnight, we not only met many nice visitors, but we also talked to potential partners. Among others, we got in touch with Berlin start-up vertragsengel.de. The start-up, which has a sales force consisting of 400 people, advises private households in Germany on the aspects of media, energy, finances, health, communication, and smart home. Consequently, we noticed very soon that homefort and vertragsengel match very well. On Wednesday, 7 September 2016, we then agreed on a partnership. Another advantage of this partnership is that vertragsengel has been analyzing its clients' demand for smart-home solutions for roughly a year. homefort has convinced vertragsengel especially because of its full-service package. Indeed, clients do not have to spend much time dealing with software and hardware, but can let the homefort client service do the work. At the same time, they are perfectly protected against burglary.

We look forward to the partnership and, during the next few days, will work hard to make the partnership successful.

Best regards,

Team homefort

NOTE:

Investments in crowdfunding projects offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Consequently, these investments are unsuitable for retirement plans. However, there is no obligation to make further contributions. Investors can minimize their risk by splitting their investment amount between crowdfunding campaigns rather than investing all of it in one crowdfunding campaign. Professional investors often follow this strategy because it causes the risk to be distributed among several investments. In this way, successful investments can balance other less successful investments.

The shares of the Companists are subordinated profit-participating loans (partiarische Nachrangdarlehen). Such loans are shares in a business with similar characteristics as equity. If the company becomes insolvent or is liquidated, the claims of the Companists – just like those of all other shareholders of the company – will be satisfied from the assets in the insolvency or the assets in liquidation only after the claims of all other external creditors have been satisfied. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, crowdfunding investments are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
