Kumpan electric Secures Six-Figure Investment

To boost the e-mobility revolution outside of Germany – from Belgium to the U.S. – as well, Kumpan launched an equity-based crowdfunding campaign on Companisto on 6 September 2016.

Thus far, the three Kumpan co-founders have received €598,000 in growth capital from the crowd of Companisto investors. Using this investment, Kumpan electric, a German e-scooter manufacturer, wants to meet the increasing demand for emission-free mobility.

Roughly two months after the launch of its Companisto campaign, Kumpan electric has convinced additional investors. Today, the company announced that it has agreed on an investment in the mid-six-figure range with VMU Venture-Capital Mittelrhein Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH and with S-Innovations-Beteiligungsfinanzierungsgesellschaft Rheinland-Pfalz mbH.

This loan will be granted for a period of 10 years and is meant to help Kumpan electric finance its planned growth in the coming years. As a result, the two venture capital companies will increase their previous investment in Kumpan electric over the long term. The investment emphasizes the companies' confidence in Kumpan electric and in its business model, and it is intended for a long-term partnership.
