Internationalization and development of ambico shops


Dear Companists,

In the past 4 weeks of our campaign, numerous questions have been put to us directly and in this update, we will gladly enlarge upon them in more detail.


User numbers, requests and visibility of the on-line shop

In the comments, we unfortunately have only limited opportunities to publish graphics and charts. Among other matters, however, the question was put to us of how the organic visibility of our on-line shop  has developed over the past few months. Attached is a graphic representation, calculated courtesy of Sistrix:

This makes it very clear that we have improved the quality of the site by means of increased content and have thus acquired higher relevance in search engines. At no point, has there been any drop in the visibility of the site and thus in the numbers of users; development of the on-line shop is very constant.


Sales share of international markets

Just as our records show, a large part of our growth strategy is that of internationalization. To this end, the question has been raised of how sales will be compiled in the future. At the moment, the proportion of our foreign markets in the UK, France, Italy and Spain amounts to slightly more than 20% of total sales. According to our planning, in 2017 this share will increase to over 30%. In 2018, our planning provides for us generating every second Euro of sales outside of Germany.


Extension of the value-added chain

Many companists suggested achieving more access to the entire value chain by means of partnerships and participations with relevant suppliers and manufacturers. It is exactly on this issue that we are working at the moment; we are developing in the established themes on a step-by-step basis  - from trader to brand, and then from brand to manufacturer. We already possess the means of manufacture of certain items, that is the respective producer is only a service provider and can be replaced if necessary. In this way, we are already distancing ourselves from traditional traders and making ourselves independent of individual suppliers.

Consequently, investments in startups and growth companies are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.
