Just after a week on Companisto, we have the following news to share with you: A successful appearance at the Berlin Startupnight and interesting exchanges with perspective Companists.

360Living at the 5th Startupnight in Berlin

On 8 September, 360Living was present with its own stand at the fifth annual Startupnight in Berlin. Startupnight is one of the European start-up scene's largest events. This year, 250 companies and more than 4,000 participants gathered in the middle of Berlin. Eight hours of interesting conversations with investors, Companists, job seekers and end-customers took place. We distributed 500 flyers, received valuable feedback from end-customers, and gained leads on two potential investors. To this we say: it was a complete success, and we look forward to next year!

360Living's advantages over Amazon

In discussions with Companists, we have found that some people are still unaware about the differences between our product and other marketplaces, such as Amazon. That's why we'd like to once again highlight the differences:

  1. End-customers at 360Living.de are offered an elegantly curated home environment product offer. Amazon and eBay aren't responsible for the product's curatorship; here it's about the individual product. That's why offers there are more likely to be used to compare prices and to buy individual items that have already been chosen.
  2. Unlike Amazon, 360Living is in charge of the marketing and relieves furniture manufacturers of this task. This is done, as a lot of marketing is needed on the part of the furniture manufacturer just to get into Amazon's "Buy Box". This is the case, because a product page has to be shared with various intermediary distributors.  What follows is that the manufacturers have to compete to sell their own product with other retailers offering that same product.  What's more, no brand-building measures are possible for most manufacturers, as the manufacturers own brand is “occupied” by other retailer.  At 360Living furniture brands are extensively built up.
  3. Amazon's contracts require extremely high contractual and process standards that most furniture manufacturers do not want to or cannot meet. With 360Living, there are also high standards, but we only require a short contract that's three pages long. What's more, we take care of all the processes involved and make sure everything runs smoothly.
  4. There's no full service for returns on the "Amazon Marketplace".  We've got this at 360Living: We take care of the contact with customers, preliminary audits, and credit items.
  5. The optional product, "Fulfillment by Amazon" isn't optimized for furniture manufacturers: There are additional fees for storing with Amazon.  However, most manufacturers already have their own storage facilities in which they've invested. This is exactly what we at 360Living use to help manufacturers make the most of their capacity (instead of having to pay for storage).
  6. Fulfillment by Amazon's biggest problem for furniture manufacturers is, however, that offers are only allowed for goods up to 30kg. Furniture (with the exception of small furniture items and accessories) almost always weighs more than this. This effectively excludes all furniture manufacturers that offer larger products (which is essentially the majority of furniture manufacturers).
  7. Furniture manufacturers are critical of the fact that Amazon only offers organizational customer support (e.g. order status) but doesn't offer any purchasing advice for furniture, as is the case with 360Living.

Investments in startups and growth companies offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, investments in startups and growth companies are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
