Medipee receives EU "Seal of Excellence"

Dear Companists,

We hope you had peaceful and relaxing Christmas holidays with lots of time for family and friends. Before the turn of the year, we would like to take this opportunity to tell you briefly about the "Seal of Excellence" awarded to us by the European Union.

What is the seal of excellence?

The seal of excellence is the label awarded to projects submitted to the Horizon 2020 EU programme which are eligible for funding but have not been considered due to budget constraints. It recognises the value of the proposal and supports the search for alternative financing options.

Each year, thousands of organisations and individual researchers in Europe invest in the Horizon 2020 programme. The evaluation is based on three criteria: Excellence, impact and quality, efficiency of implementation. The European Commission has a first-class evaluation system that involves independent, international experts.

Medipee - Seal of Excellence

The experts identify proposals that exceed the quality threshold necessary for financing. However, depending on the available horizon 2020 budget, only some of the thresholds for the above-mentioned thresholds will receive averages.

The seal of the Excellence Certificate rewards proposals above this quality threshold with this label. The label holder can then approach alternative regional, national, private or public funding sources.

It also helps interested financial institutions willing to invest in promising proposals (including national and regional authorities through European Structural and Investment Funds) to identify these projects more easily. We are pleased about the seal as a further confirmation of our work.

Finally, we would like to wish all companists a good start into the new year 2018!

With best regards

Investments in startups and growth companies offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Consequently, investments in startups or growth companies are unsuitable for retirement plans. However, there is no obligation to make further contributions. Investors can minimize their risk by diversifying the amount they invest in startups and growth companies and not investing the entire amount in one startup or growth company. Professional investors often follow this strategy because it causes the risk to be distributed among several investments. In this way, successful investments can balance other less successful investments.

The shares of the investors on Companisto are subordinated profit-participating loans (partiarische Nachrangdarlehen). Such loans are shares in a business with similar characteristics as equity. If the company becomes insolvent or is liquidated, the claims of the investors (Companists) – just like those of all other shareholders of the company – will be satisfied from the assets in the insolvency or the assets in liquidation only after the claims of all other external creditors have been satisfied. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, investments in startups and growth companies are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
