Last Call for Idana - Medicine in the digital age

Dear Companists,

Incredible, we have almost reached our financing target of €500,000! Help us realize our vision of digitally supported healthcare and take the last chance to invest in Idana and a real future market here on Companisto!

Now is a good opportunity to look back on the challenges and successes of the last few months and to look towards an exciting future.

Security, Design & Usability - Software Changes

As an eHealth startup, we focus on one thing in particular: our software. Thanks to your help, dear Companists, a lot has happened in recent months.

A well thought-out, functional, and appealing design is not the icing on the cake, but the basic prerequisite for customer and user acceptance of the software and real added value in everyday clinical routine. For this reason, we completely redesigned Idana and our homepage once again: The best usability for doctors and patients and intuitive navigation possible ensure that our software can be used by everyone.

We have also achieved a great deal in technological terms: Thanks to the GDT interface, Idana can be combined with most doctor information systems and patient data can now be easily exported from the practice management software in Idana.

We are particularly proud of our hybrid cloud, which allows clinics to run Idana on their own servers without sacrificing the benefits of the cloud.

Innovation on the Rise - Subsidies and Competitions

Market entry is difficult for startups, especially in the eHealth sector, which is booming internationally but has only moved out of its niche into the spotlight in Germany recently.

Federal and state governments and the EU also support young companies that implement technical innovations, especially in the health sector - Idana has now been included in two important funding programs: Idana successfully applied for the EU innovation cluster PERMIDES (Personalized Medicine Innovation through Digital Enterprise Solutions) and received a grant of €55,000 for the project ChemoCare, an Idana-based add-on for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of chemotherapy. Since March 2018, the state of Baden-Württemberg also supports us with innovation vouchers, which it awards to small and medium-sized companies since 2008.

The participation in the business plan competition promotion Nordhessen was particularly motivating for us: We won third place in the category "innovative companies" - and were not only awarded with prize money of €6,000, but also with an image film.

The eHealth Boom - and Idana in the Midst of It

Digitalization has been on everyone's lips at the latest since 25 May: After a two-year transitional period, the Europe-wide General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has finally come into force. The new regulation also has consequences for physicians, who are constantly dealing with highly sensitive personal data for professional reasons. For example, the patient's consent must now be obtained if his or her data is to be stored or further processed. Our strong encryption concept meets the strict guidelines and supports doctors during the transition with consent questionnaires that are integrated into the software free of charge.

The decisions of the Medical Association, which met in Erfurt at the beginning of May, also show that our anamnesis software, which is also suitable for telemedical purposes, keeps up with the times: The medical profession urgently recommends that the telemedicine law and the ban on remote treatment, which has been in force until now, be revised, to lay the foundation for a new eHealth landscape in Germany.

Investments in crowdfunding projects offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Consequently, these investments are unsuitable for retirement plans. However, there is no obligation to make further contributions. Investors can minimize their risk by splitting their investment amount between crowdfunding campaigns rather than investing all of it in one crowdfunding campaign. Professional investors often follow this strategy because it causes the risk to be distributed among several investments. In this way, successful investments can balance other less successful investments.

The shares of the Companists are subordinated profit-participating loans (partiarische Nachrangdarlehen). Such loans are shares in a business with similar characteristics as equity. If the company becomes insolvent or is liquidated, the claims of the Companists – just like those of all other shareholders of the company – will be satisfied from the assets in the insolvency or the assets in liquidation only after the claims of all other external creditors have been satisfied. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, crowdfunding investments are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
