Meadow Robotics Launches Pilot Phase of the Range Robot

Dear Companists,

With the start of the pilot phase, we have reached our next milestone. In today's update, we will introduce our three pilot customers in more detail. We will also show you our roadmap for the pilot phase.

Our Pilots

Hohenhardter Hof has been our pilot partner from day one and we are proud of the excellent collaboration over the past year. On the 32-hole course (18/9/5 hole course), golfers of all handicaps can play golf in a relaxed atmosphere. With more than 20 covered tee-off areas and a floodlight system, the only public two-story driving range in the region offers optimal training conditions in all weather conditions. A special challenge on this training facility is the enclosed ball collecting pit (ball ditch). Here we can put our autonomous navigation and path planning to the test. The Range Robot System will prove its compatibility in conjunction with the existing ball conveyor technology and thus enable fully automated operation of the driving range.

The Golfclub Mannheim-Viernheim is one of the oldest clubs in Germany, boasting an 18-hole course and over 100-year-old trees all year round. It has an extensive driving range with 40 turf tees and a total of 5 putting and practice greens with almost 30 practice holes. While filming the IHK clip, we found a strong partner for our pilot phase. The club is further expanding its ball management technology to integrate our system into the greenkeeper's workflow. Once this work has been completed, our collection system enables completely autonomous operation of the range.

The public golf course golfyouup, located between Karlsruhe and Stuttgart, is our third pilot partner. Golfers of all levels will find something suitable both on the 9-hole course par 34 and on the 6-hole short course embedded in the natural surroundings of the Kraichgau. More than 35 tee-off spots are available in the covered cabins of the driving range. Thanks to floodlights, one can continue to improve one's swing even in the dark season. This long training time and high ball density are ideal for intensive testing of our collection system. Since the club has been using modern technology from an early stage, our Range Robot collection system is the final link in the fully autonomous operation of the range.

Roadmap

Through the pilot model, we validate the assumptions we made during development in the laboratory and on our test sites. Our clubs test the collection system in 24/7 full-time operation for suitability, operability, reliability, and more. The starting shot was fired last Thursday with the commissioning of the base station at Hohenhardter Hof. More installations will follow step by step.

Each club has different requirements and circumstances, which our collection system must master during this time. Of course, errors and weaknesses will be identified during this test phase. This means that the first improvements can be implemented in time before serial production begins.

The pilot units are expected to be in service at the golf clubs until the end of 2018. At the end of this period, each of the three golf clubs will decide whether the system meets their requirements and will either purchase the pilot units or return them to us.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our Companists for your support and would like to encourage you to continue investing in our vision. In our next update, we will give you an insight into the technology of our systems. Sensors, controls, and more will be the topic in next week's update, we are looking forward to it!

Note

Investments in crowdfunding projects offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Consequently, these investments are unsuitable for retirement plans. However, there is no obligation to make further contributions. Investors can minimize their risk by splitting their investment amount between crowdfunding campaigns rather than investing all of it in one crowdfunding campaign. Professional investors often follow this strategy because it causes the risk to be distributed among several investments. In this way, successful investments can balance other less successful investments.

The shares of the Companists are subordinated profit-participating loans (partiarische Nachrangdarlehen). Such loans are shares in a business with similar characteristics as equity. If the company becomes insolvent or is liquidated, the claims of the Companists – just like those of all other shareholders of the company – will be satisfied from the assets in the insolvency or the assets in liquidation only after the claims of all other external creditors have been satisfied. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, crowdfunding investments are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
