Dear Companists,

Today we are very happy to announce another success: Another big health insurance company, the Techniker Krankenkasse, is subsidizing Caterna Therapy! This is good news for the affected children, parents, and Caterna.

€ 300 subsidy by the TK as of October

As of October, members of the Techniker Krankenkasse can receive a subsidy of € 300 per year for the use of digital therapy or digital aids [(Press release: https://www.tk.de/tk/pressemitteilungen/bundesweite-pressemitteilungen/985830)] . The Caterna Vision Training is the first therapy to be subsidized by the new statutes!

Decisions like these are always very welcome, as they are also symbolic of the continued expansion of digital healthcare solutions in Germany.

What does this mean for Caterna?

With over 10 million insured persons (as of 01.06.2018), TK is the largest statutory health insurance fund in Germany. For Caterna, the new TK subsidy means that patient potential will increase by 68%!

Caterna - Health Insurance TK

In purely mathematical terms, there are now 125,366 patients aged 4-12 with amblyopia (with a prevalence of 6%) who are insured with one of the health insurance companies that reimburse Caterna under a selective contract or subsidize the therapy. This potential can now be exploited with the help of our new online marketing measures (Update 10 and Update 11).

The new TK subsidy for Caterna also increases patient coverage to 34%. This means that 34% of those with statutory health insurance can already rely on their health insurance company to cover or subsidize the costs of Caterna Vision Training.

Caterna - Potenital Patients

In conversations with parents, we have discovered that the reimbursement by their health insurance is a decisive factor for Caterna therapy in many cases. With Barmer, (since 2014) and the Techniker, we now are partnered with two of the best-known and largest German health insurance companies!

Of course we will stay focused and try to attract more health insurance companies for Caterna!

Best greetings,

Jana Frömke

Note

Investments in crowdfunding projects offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Consequently, these investments are unsuitable for retirement plans. However, there is no obligation to make further contributions. Investors can minimize their risk by splitting their investment amount between crowdfunding campaigns rather than investing all of it in one crowdfunding campaign. Professional investors often follow this strategy because it causes the risk to be distributed among several investments. In this way, successful investments can balance other less successful investments.

The shares of the Companists are subordinated profit-participating loans (partiarische Nachrangdarlehen). Such loans are shares in a business with similar characteristics as equity. If the company becomes insolvent or is liquidated, the claims of the Companists – just like those of all other shareholders of the company – will be satisfied from the assets in the insolvency or the assets in liquidation only after the claims of all other external creditors have been satisfied. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, crowdfunding investments are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
