Get to Know the StadtFarm and BE Food - Both Online and On-Farm

Dear Companists,

StadtFarm has been in high demand among representatives of various media not only since the start of this equity crowdfunding campaign. Nevertheless, we were particularly pleased by the visit of Die Sendung mit der Maus (The Show with the Mouse) and the filmmaker Stephan Petrowitsch.

StadtFarm on the outside

Urban farming is one of the topics that have attracted increased press attention for several years now. Of course, StadtFarm also benefits from this: Already during our laboratory plant days there were several reports about us. For example, we received the title "Banana Republic" and were an integral part of RBB's monthly "Radikal Regional" broadcasts for more than half a year. In the 200th anniversary issue of brand eins, StadtFarm was named as a formative innovation for tomorrow's cities alongside Amazon and DHL. We have also been featured on television in Singapore and in the Ukrainian news.

We are all the more looking forward to 2019, when we will be featured on Die Sendung mit der Maus covering AquaTerraPonik at the beginning of the year - the episode was filmed recently. Despite the yellow raincoat, I got soaked with water during feeding and our cook prepared refreshments for the crew. We are already very excited about the result, which explains the advantages and possibilities of sustainable urban cultivation to children, starting with bio-filters over our substrate up to the result in the form of fish and vegetables.

BE Food AG & StadtFarm Berlin had been visit by a film team

Later in the year, a documentary film about "Gelebte Visionen" (Living Visions) will be released in cinemas, for which filmmaker Stephan Petrowitsch visited us for two days at the beginning of October. In the interview, we talked a lot about entrepreneurship, setbacks, and optimism. This was a great confirmation for me that stories about social entrepreneurs and our way to a healthier, tastier diet are now seen as suitable for the mainstream.

StadtFarm in the cinema and with "die Maus" - naturally we will let you know as soon as the broadcasting dates are confirmed! A constant and growing presence in the press is a core element of our brand development nationwide. If you have any press contacts with whom we should get in touch, please send us an email.

StadtFarm on the inside

Visitors to the StadtFarm in Berlin-Herzberge are always surprised by the great variety and range of plants that can be cultivated. The passion fruit is currently blooming in the visitor center, the Ceylon spinach is climbing high, the taro is spreading its large leaves - and papaya, bananas, and figs are ripening diligently. StadtFarm wants raise awareness about the scope of products we can produce to supply cities. Come and have a look and see for yourself - we are happy to offer you one of the two separate guided tours for Companists this Saturday (20.10. at 1 p.m.) and Friday (26.10. at 11 a.m.).

With kind regards,

Anne-Kathrin Kuhlemann

Investments in startups and growth companies offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Consequently, investments in startups or growth companies are unsuitable for retirement plans. However, there is no obligation to make further contributions. Investors can minimize their risk by diversifying the amount they invest in startups and growth companies and not investing the entire amount in one startup or growth company. Professional investors often follow this strategy because it causes the risk to be distributed among several investments. In this way, successful investments can balance other less successful investments.

The shares of the investors on Companisto are subordinated profit-participating loans (partiarische Nachrangdarlehen). Such loans are shares in a business with similar characteristics as equity. If the company becomes insolvent or is liquidated, the claims of the investors (Companists) – just like those of all other shareholders of the company – will be satisfied from the assets in the insolvency or the assets in liquidation only after the claims of all other external creditors have been satisfied. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, investments in startups and growth companies are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
