Nepos adjusts its strategy and secures orders from well-known customers

Dear Companists,

We would like to use the last public update before the end of our campaign to inform you about important developments. The findings of the last months have led us to adjust our strategy: We will prioritize the launch of our software and enter the market with a Universal Interface (Ui+) that works across all hardware platforms.

Great start of the Companisto campaign

The start of our campaign was brilliant and we were delighted to have reached the investment threshold very quickly. Over 300 Companists and the abundance of comments prove the enormous social relevance of our project. We were able to secure a co-investment of EUR 500,000 for our campaign goals - preparation of follow-up financing and PR & marketing campaigns - and generate enormous media interest. In recent months, however, it has become apparent that many Companisto investors, like many VC investors before them, are reluctant to finance the first hardware production and want to wait for market entry. So far, the equity crowdfunding means are not sufficient to start the next steps - preparations for market entry and the production of the first 2,500 devices - and subsequent serial production.

Start of promising cooperations with market-leading corporate customers

At the same time, we were surprised by the surge in industry interest in our universal user interface, as we were actively contacted thanks to the wide coverage. A few weeks ago, we got involved in a research project with one of the largest car manufacturers. They intend to test integrating the Ui+ into their board systems in order to make them easier for the older generation to use. We are also negotiating cooperation agreements with some of the leading media houses that want to make their content accessible to older customers using the Universal Interface. We have also had discussions with two of the largest charities that have approached us to discuss digitization concepts.

Market entry with the Universal Interface as an app

The great response has led us to rethink our approach and to develop the Universal Interface as an app - faster than planned - in order to make it experienceable on all common hardware devices. The first step is to address users who are already technically online with a computer or tablet, but who often only use the preset email function, but otherwise hardly make use of Internet services. At the same time, we continue to talk to hardware suppliers and investors in order to be able to offer a tablet in the coming year. We want the tablet to appeal in particular to today's "offliners," who are having a hard time both with the hardware currently available on the market and with operation and navigation.

We will present more information about the Nepos App in our next update. Companists will also get access to an exclusive trial version. You will also find information about the media partnership with one of the publishing houses with the largest reach in Germany and our other cooperation partners. Things remain exciting.

Once again, thank you very much for your great support. We hope for your understanding in view of the strategy change. If you have questions, feel free to comment on this post. We would also like to offer a live video chat in which you can ask possible questions.

We wish you a happy third Advent.

Best greetings,

Paul and Florian

Note

Investments in startups and growth companies offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Consequently, investments in startups or growth companies are unsuitable for retirement plans. However, there is no obligation to make further contributions. Investors can minimize their risk by diversifying the amount they invest in startups and growth companies and not investing the entire amount in one startup or growth company. Professional investors often follow this strategy because it causes the risk to be distributed among several investments. In this way, successful investments can balance other less successful investments.

The shares of the investors on Companisto are subordinated profit-participating loans (partiarische Nachrangdarlehen). Such loans are shares in a business with similar characteristics as equity. If the company becomes insolvent or is liquidated, the claims of the investors (Companists) – just like those of all other shareholders of the company – will be satisfied from the assets in the insolvency or the assets in liquidation only after the claims of all other external creditors have been satisfied. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, investments in startups and growth companies are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
