Dear Companists,

Companisto is already one of the leading equity-based crowdfunding platforms in Europe. Thus, we are glad to inform you that we are opening our first international office in Zurich today.

Already since 10 March 2014, start-up teams from all over the continent can be funded via Companisto. At the same time, investments are possible from anywhere in the world.   The Zurich office will now serve as the first point of contact to company founders in the dynamic Swiss start-up scene that seek to be financed by means of equity-based crowdfunding.

The Zurich Team

For the Zurich office, we have expanded the Companisto team:

Patricia Handl worked for media companies in Switzerland, Austria, and Germany before she joined the start-up scene, where she supported numerous start-ups during their foundation and development.

Klaus Abele Klaus Abele was responsible for the development of markt group in Germany, served as the CEO of media swiss ag, and joined the venture business afterwards.

"Switzerland is an ideal market for Companisto because there are many potential investors in addition to a large number of creative entrepreneurs," Patricia Handl describes the good starting point in Switzerland. Together, Handl and Abele will serve as competent contacts for Swiss founders from now on. Start-ups may apply for an equity-based crowdfunding round on Companisto.com by submitting a company presentation to startups-ch@companisto.com.

Goal of the Expansion

The goal of this expansion is to attract the best and most promising entrepreneurs in Europe and to connect them with investors from around the globe. As of today, the Swiss are already the third largest group of investors on Companisto. It is well known that Switzerland is one of the most stable economies in the world; apart from this, however, the Swiss founder scene has also developed strongly in the last few years, and it has produced many successful start-ups so far. Consequently, the decision to open our first international office in Zurich was a logical step.

By means of the international platform companisto.com, we also provide an ideal starting point to start-ups that are internationally oriented or intend to internationalize their business over the medium term. Via Companisto, they may quickly introduce themselves to a wide, international audience and attract investors and multipliers from around the globe.

Best regards,

David Rhotert and Tamo Zwinge
