Dear Companists,

In this update, we would like to tell you about the things we have been doing over the past few weeks and the things ahead of us.

The Kyl21 Team Is Growing

Because of the successful crowdfunding campaign, Kyl21 has been able to hire competent new team members. Thus, we were joined by Sarah Golbaz, who takes care of social marketing and app development, Lena Petersen, who serves as an assistant to the management and supervises PR and events, and Jonathan Moonens (formerly employed by Pauly Saal; 1 star), one of the best patissiers of the city. Boarding completed!

The Idea of the Year: Kyl21?

We were really thrilled to find out that ARTE Creative has nominated Kyl as the idea of the year. For this purpose, ARTE even made a short movie with us (which you may watch here).

TEDx Convention Featuring Kyl21

It was a great pleasure and honor to be invited to talk about Kyl21's history at this year's TEDx convention in Berlin in early September. The 250 ice pops we had brought with us were gone in a mere 3 minutes. You can watch David's talk here: http://www.tedxberlin.de/david-marx-the-reinvention-of-the-classic-ice-cream-popsicle

Kyl21 has also been invited to attend this year's German Brand and Design Congress related to the subject of "Brand Management 4.0" (http://www.german-design-council.de/en/design-academy/dmdk/dmdk2014.html). When asked why David Marx is supposed to give a presentation at this congress, the organizers replied: "We are also searching for new speakers that we may invite each year. To be honest, we came across your name and your product in our research so many times that we just had to invite you!"

"Action!"– The Photo Shoot with Fabio Borquez

On Tuesday, 28 October 2014, Kyl21 is finally going to invite all those Companists who invested € 10,000 or more to attend a unique photo shoot in the magnificent 3-star restaurant AMADOR in Mannheim, Germany. Legendary photographer Fabio Borquez, godfather of haute cuisine Juan Amador, and – of course – molecular ice pop pioneer David Marx are also going to be there.

On that day, the fantastic pictures for the first Kyl campaign, the avant-garde image video, and the making-of will be produced, and the making-of will also be made available to all other investors. At dinnertime, guests are going to enjoy the delicious cuisine at the AMADOR. The day will be topped off with the new Kyl21 dessert, which we are showing to the public for the first time below.

After the event, which is the basis of many of our rewards, we are going to gradually provide our many investors with their rewards!

In case you are craving something extraordinary: Pandan and banana ice cream in fresh coconut water, combined with white mango strips, tapioca pearls, lychee air, and a sesame cracker and served in the previously opened fresh coconut

Kylator to Be Certified by the German TÜV

Together with TÜV Süd, BROSER GmbH will be taking care of the German TÜV certification of the Kylator – the world's first machine for series production of molecular ice pops based on liquid nitrogen – until November.  Watching the idea and the first prototype turn into such a beautiful and safe device is like celebrating ten Christmases at once!

Kyl Working on First Exclusive Ice Pop for New Mega-Luxury Hotel in Dubai

It is really extraordinary if one is personally contacted by a truly luxurious hotel in Dubai that asks for its very own ice pop, including very sophisticated recipes. In cooperation with our designer Svenja Hotop, we have recently presented such an ice pop to the hotel. The hotel simply reacted with a "what a fantastic product!" Now, we are working on producing the ice pops until the end of this year.

Best regards,

The Kyl21 team

Note

Investments in crowdfunding projects offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Consequently, these investments are unsuitable for retirement plans. However, there is no obligation to make further contributions. Investors can minimize their risk by splitting their investment amount between crowdfunding campaigns rather than investing all of it in one crowdfunding campaign. Professional investors often follow this strategy because it causes the risk to be distributed among several investments. In this way, successful investments can balance other less successful investments.

The shares of the Companists are subordinated profit-participating loans (partiarische Nachrangdarlehen). Such loans are shares in a business with similar characteristics as equity. If the company becomes insolvent or is liquidated, the claims of the Companists – just like those of all other shareholders of the company – will be satisfied from the assets in the insolvency or the assets in liquidation only after the claims of all other external creditors have been satisfied. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, crowdfunding investments are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
