Crowdfunding Success Story: A 100 Percent Return after 2.5 Years

Public

Dear Companists,

We are pleased to announce that investors of the first funding campaign ever launched on Companisto have received an offer from a large investor to purchase their shares.

From June through September 2012, 446 crowdinvestors invested a total of 100,000 euros in the equity-based crowdfunding platform Companisto. Given that Companisto had just gone into business and that each crowdfunding campaign includes the risk of a potential bankruptcy of the company funded, this was no risk-free investment. In such a worst case scenario, the investments of the crowdinvestors would also be lost. Conversely, an investment in the "right" start-up – such as the one mentioned here – may lead to excellent returns.

A 100 % Return within two Years

A large investor has offered to purchase the Companists' shares for 200,000 euros. This value corresponds to twice the value of all investments by the Companists or to a total return of 100 % after only 2.5 years (which is the rough equivalent of a 44 % annual return). This period is extremely short for the venture capital industry.

A High Return Today or an Even Higher One Tomorrow?

The Companists are now facing a choice: They may decide whether they want to receive the highest return ever achieved in Germany through equity-based crowdfunding or whether they want to take a risk, reject the offer, and hope for a better result in the future.

From 17 November 2014 onward, all investors of Companisto will be asked to vote on the offer in the investors section of Companisto. They will then have one month to cast their vote.

The result of the investor vote will be announced at www.companisto.com on 17 December 2014.

All Companists of Companisto were informed about the offer in the investors section yesterday. Some interested Companists have already started discussing the offer there.

Best regards,

The Companisto team
