EDITION F Grows Faster than Expected in 2014

Dear Companists,

First of all, we wish you a happy new year and a good start of this year! We believe that this year will be a good one, and we want to use your investments to significantly increase the reach and revenue of EDITION F this year. We are already well on our way toward this goal. Last year ended magnificently, and the beginning of 2015 has been excellent as well. We will keep you posted on our progress.

Growth in 2014 Exceeds Expectations

When we entered the closed beta phase in May 2014, we never would have thought that we would have over 60,000 visitors per month in late 2014. Thus, we were able to slightly speed up our growth in November and December (which normally tend to be weak months in terms of content/traffic). For January, we are expecting further growth of approximately 5 to 10 percent.

New Features, More Attractive Site for Users

And we still have many plans: Both our negotiations with a major publisher on the test of a possible print issue and the addition of new features to editionf.com are in full swing. As early as in January, we will publish additional important features online. These features include improved website navigation and new community features. We will provide you with more detailed information on this next week.

Those of you who want to know what was particularly important to us in 2014 and what we are planning to do this year may find out at https://editionf.com/editionf-ausblick-rueckblick.

Important Feedback from Popular and Specialized Media

Since the beginning of the Companisto campaign, EDITION F has further established itself among experts and in the media. Two awards made us particularly happy:

The 100 Most Important People in the Marketing and Media Industry

Thought leaders, unorthodox thinkers, game changers: The leading industry publication Werben & Verkaufen has named the 100 most important people in marketing and the media in its first print issue of 2015. We, the EDITION F founders Susann and Nora, are also part of this ranking.

Here is what W&V wrote (translation):

"By means of their business lifestyle platform for career women, the former Gründerszene.de employees have touched a chord. The portal started as recently as in June 2014 and is already generating five-digit monthly revenue – also because of major advertising customers such as Axel Springer, McKinsey, or Sixt. But the company does not intend to stop there: For the further expansion of Edition F, the company is currently running its second financing round."

30 German People Under 30 that You Should Keep an Eye on in 2015

The German edition of Huffington Post published a list of 30 young talents under 30 years of age that included EDITION F founder Nora.

Huffington Post wrote (translation):

"There are actually two of them: Nora-Vanessa Wohlert (30, on the right) and Susann Hoffmann (32) are the founders of "Edition F," a business lifestyle magazine for women. "Edition F" is not even a year old, yet it is one of the media projects in Germany receiving the most attention.  Hoffmann and Wohlert were successful at the Lead Award in 2014 and want to become major players in digital business journalism in 2015."

By the way, at Bits & Pretzels (16 January) or at the DLD Conference (18 through 20 December) in Munich, you will have the chance to meet us.

Let us know if you are interested in a personal meeting with us there or in Berlin.

We wish you a great start of this year!

Best regards,
Susann and Nora

Investments in startups and growth companies offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Consequently, investments in startups or growth companies are unsuitable for retirement plans. However, there is no obligation to make further contributions. Investors can minimize their risk by diversifying the amount they invest in startups and growth companies and not investing the entire amount in one startup or growth company. Professional investors often follow this strategy because it causes the risk to be distributed among several investments. In this way, successful investments can balance other less successful investments.

The shares of the investors on Companisto are subordinated profit-participating loans (partiarische Nachrangdarlehen). Such loans are shares in a business with similar characteristics as equity. If the company becomes insolvent or is liquidated, the claims of the investors (Companists) – just like those of all other shareholders of the company – will be satisfied from the assets in the insolvency or the assets in liquidation only after the claims of all other external creditors have been satisfied. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, investments in startups and growth companies are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
