UNYTE - Yoga for everyone | Videos

  • Company Valuation
We have already been preparing the launch of UNYTE for more than 2.5 years and have invested in market research (together with Venture Idea), product development (yoga), market development (together with PUK), our architecture concept (together with 3F), and location analyses (together with Martin Eisenblätter) in particular. Our top management consists of successful entrepreneurs that are experienced in business, innovation, and the yoga industry (Paulus Neef, Yasmine Orth, Alexandra Behrens-Eckers, Steph Jaksch, Dr. Patrick Broome, Martin Eisenblätter, and Katja Gleisberg) and that will turn UNYTE into the leading yoga brand. We want to realize the huge market potential of approximately 14 million people interested in yoga in Germany alone and become the market leader in the highly fragmented yoga market.
Combining expertise, renowned team members, famous supporters (who will publicly support the project), previously untapped market potential, and our business model, we will make the UNYTE concept internationally available and ensure its constant high quality.
  • Why do you think that 2,000 members are a conservative estimation?
We based our estimation of 2,000 members on in-depth market research by yoga providers in Germany and abroad. This research has shown that on average, it is possible to attract more than 3,000 members or even 5,000 to 7,000 members in some countries. The studies were based on yoga studios with three rooms of at least 100 m² each, a clearly defined marketing strategy using synergies within the different studios, and a central location in large metropolises. The statistical population per studio depended largely on access to the studio 7 days a week and 16 hours a day.
By comparison, McFit is operating 23 studios in Berlin alone, which have 6,000 members on average.
  • How will you use additional capital for developing the next studios?
The capital required depends on the scheduled launch of the new studios. Indeed, we may adjust the launch dates and the capital used for marketing and expansion of our studios based on actual demand. Still, our goal has to be to make yoga as popular as possible because we want to become a leading yoga brand.

After a successful launch, we may receive follow-up financing in part through borrowed capital as well, which has already worked for similar industries.
  • Which main cost drivers are responsible for the construction costs of 600,000 euros?
Investment in construction of our studio 1 at Bikini Berlin consists of the elements listed below. In this context, it has to be kept in mind that UNYTE has acquired a first-rate team (3F Architects and Martin Eisenblätter, our expansion manager) in order to achieve superb and scalable design.
1. Demolition and dismantling = 3%
2. Flooring work = 10%
3. Lighting/electrical work = 15%
4. Air condition = 5%
5. Building work = 25%
6. Furniture = 24%
7. Safety/fire protection = 10%
8. Outdoor advertising = 8%
We estimated construction costs rather conservatively and standardized our estimation for all studios we plan to open after our flagship studio. We will certainly also find locations whose standard is sufficiently high because of previous tenants. In our calculation, however, we estimated that we will have to take all the measures necessary to operate a studio in a given location (i.e., fire protection, accessibility, sanitary facilities, ambience, etc.).

Investments in startups and growth companies offer great opportunities, but they are risk investments. In the worst case, the entire investment amount may be lost. Consequently, investments in startups or growth companies are unsuitable for retirement plans. However, there is no obligation to make further contributions. Investors can minimize their risk by diversifying the amount they invest in startups and growth companies and not investing the entire amount in one startup or growth company. Professional investors often follow this strategy because it causes the risk to be distributed among several investments. In this way, successful investments can balance other less successful investments.

The shares of the investors on Companisto are subordinated profit-participating loans (partiarische Nachrangdarlehen). Such loans are shares in a business with similar characteristics as equity. If the company becomes insolvent or is liquidated, the claims of the investors (Companists) – just like those of all other shareholders of the company – will be satisfied from the assets in the insolvency or the assets in liquidation only after the claims of all other external creditors have been satisfied. Thus, Companists are treated like any other shareholder of the company during insolvency or liquidation proceedings.

The company information published on the Companisto website is provided solely by the companies. The projections made by the companies do not guarantee successful development of the company in the future. Consequently, investments in startups and growth companies are suitable only for those investors who can cope with the risk of a total loss of the capital invested. Investors make their own independent investment decisions and bear all risks themselves.

The investments are provided and issued by the individual companies. Companisto is neither the provider nor the issuer of the investments, but solely the internet service platform.
