The planning, construction and operation of properties are undergoing a fundamental transformation towards data-driven processes. In practice, however, many processes are still documented and managed manually. Site managers currently spend 20 to 30 per cent of their working time on site accounting – time that is then lacking for the actual management of the project. Added to this are late settlements, delayed invoicing and unnecessarily tied-up liquidity.

Dr Mario Geißler has been working on precisely this transformation for many years. As founder and managing director of Points2BIM, he develops technologies that make digital building data usable for productive business processes such as documentation and construction billing.
