To this day, traditional crowd investing usually means one thing: many investors collectively provide a subordinated loan to a startup. They finance it—but you don’t own any of it.

Companisto has replaced this model. With us, you invest in the equity of a corporation—typically a limited liability company (GmbH) or a stock corporation (Aktiengesellschaft). You subscribe, directly or indirectly, to GmbH shares or stocks with shareholder rights—the same instruments used by professional business angels and venture capital funds to invest.

Currently it shows the revenue/profit reported by each companies and provides us a detailed analysis before investments. But there is no continuous evaluation and the investors have to do it themselves. They have a secondary market where you can buy from fellow investors. No—the difference is fundamental. With traditional crowdfunding, you support a project and receive a product, a reward, or nothing in return. With crowdinvesting on Companisto, you acquire equity in a company—either directly or indirectly—in the form of GmbH shares or stocks with shareholder rights—and you share in the company’s success. You’re not supporting a project; you’re becoming a co-owner.
