How does participation in EcoPals work?

Your participation in EcoPals is structured as an equity investment. You become a shareholder in EcoPals - similar to investing on the stock market, but in the pre-IPO phase. No subordinated loans, no reward-based crowdfunding campaigns, no pre-orders. In the event of success, you participate proportionally in the exit (company sale or IPO) or via dividend distributions. Example: Companisten who invested in BigRep participated in its listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on July 31, 2024 (ticker B1GR). The minimum investment in EcoPals is €10,000 in the Business Angel Club (for direct investments in the form of shares or GmbH equity interests) or €250 for private investors via a pooling vehicle. Each investment offering includes a legally required Securities Information Sheet (WIB), Key Information Document (BIB), or consumer information with mandatory risk disclosures.

What is the minimum investment in EcoPals?

The minimum investment in EcoPals is €10,000 in the Companisto Angel Club for a direct investment (limited liability company shares or stock) or €250 for private investors via a pooling vehicle. There is no maximum investment amount per investment.

When do I receive a return from EcoPals?

A return from your EcoPals investment arises at exit (trade sale or IPO) or through dividend distributions - as a shareholder you participate directly in the company’s value. The timing of an exit is not guaranteed; typical holding periods for startup investments range between 5 and 10 years. Examples from the Companisto portfolio: BigRep - listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on July 31, 2024 (ticker B1GR). HERO - €40 million Series B in 2024 with Eight Roads and Federated Hermes. DiaMonTech - €8 million co-investment with Samsung Next in 2025 (largest EU equity crowdfunding round 2025). KoRo 6x return for Companisten upon sale in 2022. Through the Companisto secondary market, you can sell your EcoPals shares to other Companisto investors before exit. Total loss of capital is possible.
